Red Dead Redemption 2 Players Are Reporting Issues With Second Disc
Red Dead Redemption 2 is here, though not everything is fine and dandy with the Wild West adventure title. Lengthy installation aside, it seems there are some issues surrounding the second disc in the physical copy of the Xbox One version of the game.
Players are finding one of two issues occur when attempting to use the second disc during installation of the game, though in the end the result is the same. The first issue that happens is that the game will ask the user to insert the second disc however upon doing so won’t respond to the actions provided. The second issue is similar in that it will ask the player to put in the second disc but instead of simply not responding, will revert to asking for the first disk again. While it isn’t an official fix to the issue, one fan has found that by unplugging the Xbox One entirely and then re-plugging it back in players can occasionally get the download to start working again. Other fans have reported that it might take a couple tries:

PlayStation 4 users have also seen some installation issues though they’ve mostly stopped with overly long install times. Players have also reported pelts going missing when dropped or the instance being restarted. With a game as large as Red Dead Redemption 2, it’s no surprise that there a couple hiccups here and there, though this installation issue seems to be a major problem for some. Hopefully, the developers can find some fixes soon.
