Red Dead Redemption 2 PS4 Early Access Content Revealed
Rockstar Games’ greatly-anticipated Red Dead Redemption 2 will be greeting players with a great big “howdy” pretty soon, and the Old West shooter has touted plenty of in-game content to warrant such a mountain of hype. A wide open world, a myriad of hair-trigger decisions, and (ahem) dynamic weather are much of why fans have their deadeye locked on the rootin’-tootin’ sequel. However, PlayStation 4 users have even more reason to be excited with the inclusion of timed-exclusive content.
A bit of player sleuthing previously revealed select content is hitting the Sony system a full 30 days early, but we now know the extent of this preview from an official announcement from the PlayStation Blog. On launch, PS4 owners will have early access to fresh content for the main game as well as Red Dead Online, the first of which being a lineup of cosmetic items for players to utilize.
The console will see the introduction of the outdoorsy Grizzlies Outlaw Outfit, it being wearable in the story campaign as well as multiplayer. Exclusively in the online mode, PS4 will also debut the speedy Red Chestnut Arabian horse, a nifty Alligator Skin Ranch Cutter Saddle, and a special High Roller Double-Action Revolver to stylishly shoot all the stuff with.
The above goodies aren’t too shabby for PS4, especially for those looking to enter the wild west of Red Dead Online. While there hasn’t been much specifically revealed about the upcoming multiplayer mode, we can at least expect it to play similar to the main game itself, which looks pretty spectacular by the looks of the latest gameplay trailer. Red Dead Redemption 2 will mosey on over to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on October 26th. Red Dead Online is scheduled for a November release.
