PUBG Season 9 Is Getting A New “Dynamic” Map, Paramo (VIDEO)
PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is set to launch its 9th season later this month, which is quite a long time for a battle royale title. According to a recent post from the developers, the hope is to change everything players think they know about PUBG and the battle royale genre altogether. When the upcoming season launches players will witness a brand new map that will constantly change, making each drop one that’s fresh and unique.
The upcoming map Paramo is a plateau hidden among the clouds that holds an active volcano that will change the landscape every match. The developers recently sent out a teaser trailer showing off a small piece of what the changing map can hold. Paramo will also feature a unique method of dropping in, holding players in a helicopter that they can drop from. These helicopters will also be responsible for dropping care packages down to the ground, but if players don’t want to wait and find out where it’s going to drop, they’ll have a chance to shoot it down for themselves.
Season 9 will feature 2 shorter Season passes as opposed to two long ones, with the first themed around the new Paramo map while the second is designed around an infamous PUBG character. PUBG is available for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4, and Season 9 is slated to arrive on October 21st.
