PUBG Milestone Reaches 5 Million Players On Xbox One, Free Cosmetic Item Rewarded

PUBG Milestone

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds continues to dominate the ever growing battle royale genre. Even though the title is still a Game Preview title on the Xbox One, players continue to flock to the shooter reaching yet another PUBG milestone that Microsoft is celebrating with more free rewards for fans to enjoy.

In recognition of reaching over 5 million players, Microsoft has released a couple interesting treats to share with players. The first comes in the form of a sweet PUBG5 jacket that gamers can receive for free. The PUBG5 jacket, seen above, will be rewarded to all players who own and have activated a character in PUBG on the Xbox One before March 22nd at 12:01 AM PST.

Also arriving to celebrate the milestone are a few stats collected in the world of battle royale, including an impressive amount of chicken dinners:

  • 5 million players on Xbox One
  • 4,959,356 chicken dinners served
  • Average win time at 34 minutes
  • 23,472,616 care packages delivered
  • 144,443,812 hours of total play time
  • 4,579,258,738 bandages used
  • 41,146,932 blue circle deaths (ouch)
  • 13,812,249 melee deaths
  • 952, 312 frying pan kills

Reaching 5 million players within 3 months time is monumental and Microsoft greatly appreciates all of the feedback and effort put in by both players and developers. The team for Xbox One had this to say in amid their celebrations:

We’ve also greatly appreciated all the feedback received from the community which is helping us create the best and most realistic Battle Royale experience. We just released the ninth optimization patch on March 2, which improved vehicle feedback, sound effects, matchmaking and more, and last week we shared our spring development roadmap with details on what you should expect to see in the weeks to come, including the release of the 2nd map, Miramar. You can read more details here.”
