Xbox Game Pass “Surprises” Teased For Later In June (VIDEO)

Xbox Game Pass Assassin's Creed Origins

Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass continues to be well-regarded as the “best deal in gaming” and the company’s subscription supremacy only grows with the passing of every month. Even as its library of available games deals out a hundreds-strong library across PC, consoles, and cloud, dozens of fresh games are added to the service every few weeks, with some even being released on day one of their original launches. With that in mind, the newest batch of Xbox Game Pass games has now been made available.

Going live immediately upon announcement, Xbox Game Pass added the DLC-inclusive Marching Fire Edition of For Honor followed by the sword-slashing compendium Ninja Gaiden: Master Collection, which was made available on June 2nd. Next up, June 7th will see the month’s remaining four games introduced, comprising the Ancient Egypt-set Assassin’s Creed Origins, the outer-space cyber-piloter Chorus, the buzzsaw bullet-hell Disc Room, as well as the Overcooked-like spaceship manager Spacelines from the Far Out.

Of course, with so many great games coming to Xbox Game Pass, the gaming gods see fit for a few aging selections to depart the subscription service. Staying available until June 15th, the likes of gothic role-playing roguelike Darkest Dungeon, the unfortunately poorly-received D&D Dark Alliance revival, the colonial-era fantasy RPG Greedfall, the modern classic puzzle-platformer Limbo, and the Smash-like spin-off Worms Rumble are all planned to be sent to a farm upstate.

Even as some of Ubisoft’s biggest blockbusters like For Honor and Assassin’s Creed Origins grace Game Pass, June nonetheless represents the smallest selection of games introduced in a long while. However, there appears to be a reason for that, as Microsoft additionally teased a number of “surprises” set to be unveiled at this month’s Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase, suggesting quite a few more games might make their debut following the event.

A rundown of the latest and leaving games can be viewed below. For a full look at the Xbox console, Cloud Gaming, and PC versions of Game Pass, check out our respective lists.
