PS5 And Xbox Series X ‘Mock Consoles’ Offered By Ikea To Aid In Furniture Shopping

PS5 And Xbox Series X 'Mock Consoles' Created By Ikea For Size Comparisons

It looks like Ikea is coming in clutch for gamers shopping for furniture to accommodate their new video game consoles. The popular Swedish furniture company is now offering shoppers cardboard ‘mock consoles’ in the shape of the PS5 and the Xbox Series X to help you determine which of the company’s offerings will best fit the latest generation of consoles.

Redditor u/TomaccoTastesLikeGma posted their recent discovery with a photo depicting the mock PS5 and Xbox Series X console boxes. Both boxes sport the same color scheme (within reason) found on their respective consoles, with each box sporting exact measurements written on the sides for those that need it.

As helpful and stylish as Ikea appears to be, the company also sports a nifty sense of humor. On the side of the PS5 mock console box is quote that references the PS5’s massive size, asking “which IKEA media storage unit will be able to fit my new, meme-ishly oversized, game console?” It should be noted that these mock consoles won’t necessarily appear in every Ikea out there, so be sure to manage expectations should you choose to make a pilgrimage out to the land of meatballs.

Both the PS5 and the Xbox Series X are now available for purchase.
