Xbox Games With Gold October 2022 Revealed
As online gaming platforms become more crucial to the gaming experience, there have been abundant opportunities for gamers to access free games through these services. PlayStation kicked that trend off with PlayStation Plus subscriptions offering free games each month, and Xbox has followed suit with their Games With Gold program. Games With Gold has offered new free games each month to their users, with each month offering an opportunity for surprises. Now Microsoft has unveiled the Xbox Games With Gold October 2022 free games lineup, including some fun titles that will have Xbox owners grinning with delight.

Microsoft announced the Xbox Games With Gold October 2022 free games lineup on the official Xbox Wire website. The first is Windbound for Xbox One and Xbox Series X, which will be available to access for free for the entire month of October. Windbound is a survival-adventure game that puts players in control of a girl named Kara who must survive on a mysterious chain of islands called The Forbidden Islands. The game has the usual trappings of a survival game, including resource-gathering, weapon crafting, and exploration.
The other game included with the Xbox Games With Gold October 2022 free lineup is Bomber Crew Deluxe Edition, which will be available from October 16th until November 15th. This strategy sim game set during World War II has players command a crew of bomber planes and pilots. The game is an unusually light and colorful take on this part of history, but its permadeath feature does keep some of the weight intact. While sadly this month marks the first for Games With Gold where legacy Xbox games from the 360 and older are no longer included, these two quality titles are worth picking up for subscribers. Free is free, after all.
