Overwatch Vs Team Fortress 2 Fan-Video Mashes The Two Together Perfectly (VIDEO)
Of the many crossover videos out there, only a few are able to completely capture the essence behind each franchise and mix them together perfectly. A YouTube team by the name of The Winglet has managed to reach perfection from start to finish with a new Overwatch vs Team Fortress 2 video.
While at first glance the Overwatch characters may seem to have an advantage with their vast array of skills and powers, as time goes on it’s clear that they may have more in common than it seems. The teams seem more or less evenly matched when paired with similar classes such as Widowmaker and the Sniper, or Junkrat and the Demoman, as they fight for control of the beloved payload.
The video also makes great use of the metas surrounding each character, especially the Overwatch heroes such as Mei who can is depicted as some kind of ice demon from a horror film. The Demoman can be seen in the Play of the Game clip using tactics similar to the loathed Junkrat by launching grenades out over a wall without moving his position. In the end, love blossoms over the battlefield when Mother Russia herself, Zarya, meets the Heavy in a classic romantic scene comparing big guns and getting it on.
Overwatch is available on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. Team Fortress 2 is directly available on PC and can be played on the Xbox 360 and Xbox One consoles through the Orange Box compilation..
