Overwatch Summer Games 2018 Set To Begin Next Week

Overwatch Summer Games 2018

Now that Summer has had time to settle in, it’s time to have some fun. With nearly everyone heading to the nearest beach, boardwalk, and more, gamers are ready to tackle more gaming. That said, Blizzard Entertainment’s annual Overwatch Summer Games are officially on the horizon!

Set to begin next week, the Overwatch Summer Games were teased on the game’s Twitter. Naturally, Lucioball will be back, but there’s no telling what will be joining the game mode this time around. As can be seen in the tweet below, however, a new arena appears to be making its way into the popular shooter.

Luckily, the Korean Overwatch Twitter was able to give fans a better look at the new area, which looks to be a new Lucioball map that is located in Busan, South Korea. It’s only a still shot that shows off some cloud coverage, but it does confirm a new area in which players will be able to score some sweet goals as everyone’s favorite audio medic. Check it out below:

We imagine there will be more to this year’s Overwatch Summer Games than just a new Lucioball map. Players are sure to see some new skins, sprays, icons, and more available in loot crates. Whether there will be any new modes added to the game to celebrate this time of year remains to be seen, but we’re sure Blizzard has something in story for fans.

The Overwatch Summer Games 2018 are set to begin on August 9th and run through the end of the month. Keep it tuned to Don’t Feed the Gamers as this story develops, and for other gaming goodness going on right now, check out the following:
