Papa Jeff, daddy Jeff, or whatever you like to call him, he’s become the face of Overwatch and is just as iconic as the heroes of the game. From developer updates to responses on the Blizzard forums, Overwatch Jeff Kaplan is ready to represent and this time is no different. It’s Christmas Eve and all through the house, not a thing stirred…not even a Kaplan.
During a surprise livestream currently on Twitch, the game director sits in cozy living room setting complete with a burning fireplace, Pachimari plush, a plate of chocolate chip cookies, and other appropriately holiday decor. In complete silence.
Expecting an exciting launch of giveaways and messages of good tidings and grace? Think again. Likely a looped compilation of Overwatch Jeff Kaplan posing spread eagle, judgmentally squinting, and in thoughtful repose, it’s just as good as any 24 hour stream of a burning yule log on TV. He’s just enjoying a nice night in with himself, and sometimes you’ll even catch his eyes staring into the depths of your soul. It’s really just at the camera though.
