Bravely Default Subtly Teased For Nintendo Switch

Bravely Default

While the Square Enix RPG Bravely Default for the Nintendo 3DS was extremely well received, the popular game has yet to make its way to any other platform, despite a not insignificant amount of desire for such an occurrence. Thankfully, it appears that Bravely Default may be coming to the Nintendo Switch, depending on how one interprets a recent Tweet on the official Twitter account for the game. Seen below, the Tweet features character Edea Lee looking very festive, surrounded by a Christmas wreath and Nintendo Switch accessories.

Of course, this is far from actual confirmation that Bravely Default is coming to the Nintendo Switch. That said, games have been teased using much more subtle imagery, and given that Edea Lee is holding a Switch controller rather than, say, a 3DS, things are looking up for those looking for a slightly less portable version of the game. For those unfamiliar with the title, check out the small blurb for Bravely Default below:

Dark times have befallen the land of Luxendarc, and its fate is in the hands of Tiz Arrior and his three comrades. Mold them into heroes as you take a fantastic journey in Square Enix’s highly acclaimed RPG for the Nintendo 3DS system.

Calculated risk and reward are central to the battles in Bravely Default. As you wander the landscape of Luxendarc, enemies will take the fight to you when you least expect it— so you need to be ready with a well-balanced team and sound strategies.”

Bravely Default is currently available for Nintendo 3DS. So, thoughts on the potential teaser? What other platforms would you like the game to be ported to?
