New Xbox Series X Box Art Draws Disdain From Fans
There are a series of upcoming titles that will be optimized for the Xbox Series X such as Far Cry 6, Watch Dogs: Legion, Dirt 5, Yakuza: Like A Dragon, and more. Some new box art for a few of these titles has recently surfaced featuring a large “Optimized for Xbox Series X” sticker slapped right on the front. While it does get the point across, it seems fans have not taken too kindly to the new art with some even demanding to simply “Kill it with fire!”
The Verge’s Tom Warren recently revealed the new box art on Twitter for some of the Xbox Series X optimized titles. In response, a good deal of fans have spoken out, claiming that the sticker is a bit of an eyesore with its size and placement. There certainly is quite a lot going on, with the mention of Xbox One or Xbox Series X being featured multiple times over including the Xbox Series X optimized sticker. It seems a shame to mar the beautiful artwork of a title like Far Cry 6 with a big green sticker but perhaps it will merely be something that appears on the shrink wrap rather than on the case itself.
It’s so clean outside of that stupid logo. Do we know how Sony’s handling cross-gen games? Given that PS makes you re-download digital titles if you had them on disc first, I’m guessing they’ll be selling separate SKUs.

The “better with kinect sensor” bar was more tastefully added. This is just so…big. pic.twitter.com/tUPng5ASnC

The PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 versions of these games are getting their own separate boxes, so it seems a bit peculiar that there’s only one version for both the Xbox One and Xbox Series X.
