New Star Wars Battlefront 2 Behind The Scenes Trailer Profiles More New Story Characters (VIDEO)
The D23 convention this weekend has surprised many fans of Disney’s various media properties with announcements related to Disney, Pixar, Marvel and Star Wars projects. Despite a large focus on Disney’s upcoming film and television projects, the convention also had a significant portion devoted to the big upcoming video game titles involving Disney brands. Kingdom Hearts lovers were elated by a look at Kingdom Hearts that confirmed a Toy Story world would be included in the game, and Star Wars Battlefront 2 also had new looks included at the conference. A new Battlefront 2 behind the scenes video was shown that gave details about new characters introduced in the game.
The new Behind the Story video shown at the D23 video game press conference has been posted to the EA Star Wars YouTube channel, and its focus appears to be on the character series in the single player story mode that will have the most impact on the campaign’s protagonist, Iden Versio. This story seeks to show the mindset of Imperials and their devotion to their cause, even after the death of the Emperor. This will be greatly reflected with Gideon Hask, a classmate of Iden’s who exhibits much zealousness for the Imperial ideology.
This trailer also introduces another peer, Del, who provides a much lighter personality to contrast the more serious and hardened Imperial personalities surrounding him. We also learn about Iden’s father, Garrick Versio, who holds the status of Imperial general, but considers Iden to be the most important part of his life. The story campaign in Battlefront II appears to be coming together nicely, and it seems like it will present an interesting perspective on the events following Return of the Jedi.
