New Shenmue III Screenshots Feature Enhanced Character Looks And Gorgeous Scenery
Ys Net has have revealed brand new Shenmue III screenshots in preparation for Monaco Anime Game International Conference (MAGIC) beginning this February 24th in partnership with Shibuya Productions. Known for their such games as Astroboy Reboot, Cobra Return of Joe Gillian, Sad Hill Unearthed and many others, Shibuya Productions president, Cedric Biscay, showed off a few of them in anticipation of the event next month. The new Shenmue III screenshots feature Ryo and Shenhua, their character models and textures have improved ten-fold compared to the animation and graphics from the original. From the textures of their clothing, the creases in their trousers, to the crisp background they’re walking by. There are two environments shown as well, displaying beautiful vibrant colors and textures in 1080p resolution. There’s the ambient lighting from lanterns and side shops in what may be Baisha, and the serene water and river boats tied at the docks.
The textures of bamboo can be seen cover sections of the river boats, grains of the wood of the dock, and concrete slabs that make the boardwalk. Want to see more high definition goodness for the upcoming 2018 game? Check out the official gallery of previously revealed images here!
If you’re intererested in pre-ordering the game, it can be done so here. Unfortunately, the Kickstarter has already closed, which successfully reached 6.8 million dollars in total amount pledged with over 75,000 backers. In the end, the game reached several stretch goals and is on its way this year. However, those still looking to support the project and possibly get some goodies out of it, head on over to the official website to support more stretch goals.
