New Overwatch Hero Revealed – Meet Orisa, the Newest Tank-Class Added to the Roster (VIDEO)

“Everyone else gave up on you, but I saw what you could be.”

After weeks and weeks of teasers from the Blizzard camp, they have finally revealed their latest hero for Overwatch players around the world. It may not be Doomfist, like what was widely speculated – but we’ve got a feeling Orisa will hold players’ interest just fine. Check out the video below to meet them for yourself:

Some background information that was previously touched on by rumors is that the character itself is a robot that was first attacked by Doomfist. The robot in question was later rebuilt by Efi Oladele, a genius inventor, which is who we met in a number of the teasers dropped by Blizzard. The development team also released a full write up, which you can find on their official site right here where you can see Orisa’s full specs and capabilities.

Orisa’s main weapon is her rapid-fire Fusion Driver, an automatic gun with good range and accuracy even at a distance—though it comes at a cost, as Orisa’s movement slows down while she fires. Her alternate fire, Halt!, launches a graviton charge across the map, slowing nearby enemies as it passes, then pulling them toward it when it detonates.”

You can also hear the Game’s Director Jeff Kapla talk about Orisa himself in this Developer Update video below:

What do you guys think? Bastion and Reinhardt mains will feel right at home with Orisa. Something new, yet not entirely unfamiliar. The team behind the highly successful FPS Overwatch has done a great job so far keeping their players engaged with a constant influx of new content, events, and amazingly intricate backstory. So share with us your thoughts on Orisa in the comment section below and don’t forget to follow us on Twitter for all of your gaming and entertainment news live 24/7!
