New Ghost Rider Christmas Comic Written By Method Man
We learned recently that R.L. Stine, creator of the Goosebumps series of books, will be writing for a new Man-thing series of Marvel comics. Now, it looks like Marvel will be continuing to have writers not usually known for comic writing on board. Rap legend and Wu-Tang Clan co-founder Method Man has written a new Ghost Rider Christmas comic, which is available now on Marvel’s digital comic distribution platforms.
According to Complex, the new Method Man and Anthony Piper penned the new comic titled Ghost Rider X-Mas Special Infinite Comic #1. This comic follows the newest incarnation of Ghost Rider, Robbie Reyes, as he “Brings Da Ruckus” to Krampus, the German folk figure known for punishing naughty children during Christmastime. There will also be a secondary story in which Reyes’ younger brother Gabe being bullied for showing an excessive amount of holiday cheer. Both Robbie and Gabe Reyes have become more known recently for being the focus of the latest season of the Agents of Shield television series.
This is not the first time that Marvel and Method Man have intersected for a news story. In the mid-90s, the Wu-Tang clan members changed their stage names, which included Method Man’s stint as being referred to as “Johnny Blaze”, which is the name of the original host of the Ghost Rider persona. If this comic’s version of Ghost Rider has Method Man, the master of the plan wrappin’ s*** like Saran, behind him, Krampus had better heed the fabled Wu-Tang warning. Protect ya neck. What do you guys think? Are you excited to see this Ghost Rider Christmas comic? What is your favorite Wu-Tang track? Let us know in the comments below.
