New Gears 5 Enemy Revealed To Be Players’ “Worst Nightmare” (VIDEO)
With a new sequel comes a whole host of new experiences for fans to enjoy firsthand. Gears 5 is no exception and has already seen a tease of one new enemy type called the “Warden.” Now another new enemy type has been revealed that will surely be one of the most terrifying yet. As an added bonus, it appears to be a small nod to a former enemy of the first trilogy.
The new enemy type is called the Swarm Flock which consists of a large number of Swarm Leeches. So far, all that’s known about the new “worst nightmare” comes from the small clip in the Tweet below. It appears as thought the creature will rapidly attack their foe in quick succession, leaving behind a few of the leeches to attach, infect, and explode on a target. How players will be able to kill this cloud of death is uncertain, but it doesn’t appear that doing so will be easy.

The new Swarm Flock may seem familiar to fans of the first trilogy as it appears to be inspired by none other than the Kryll, which were small voracious carnivores. While fairly meek on their own, the creatures were terrifying in large groups. While the Swarm Flock leaves behind a few Leeches to do their dirty work, the Kryll were a force to be reckoned with – capable of shredding people down to the bone in the blink of an eye.
Gears 5 is slated to release sometime in 2019 for PC and Xbox One. What other kind of enemies do you hope to see in the upcoming Gears title?
