Prince Of Persia Returns In New For Honor Event (VIDEO)

For Honor Prince of Persia

The Prince of Persia series hasn’t had any love thrown its way with a proper title since The Shadow Of Flame remake was remade back in 2013 – even sooner when considering mobile spin-offs such as 2018’s Prince of Persia: Escape. Thankfully, it doesn’t seem that the franchise is lost to the sands of time quite yet. The Prince of Persia himself has now appeared in a limited-time event for For Honor alongside some other assets from the franchise.

Unveiled recently by Ubisoft, the event is called Prince of Persia: Blades of Persia and will play out through two different chapters. The first chapter is currently available and sees the introduction of a new Dominion mode called the Ruler of Time. The mode changes the Harbor map to have a Prince of Persia aesthetic and includes several iconic enemies seen throughout the franchise. The Prince himself also makes an appearance, arriving into the battlefield through a sand tornado and becoming a fearsome threat to both sides of the fight.

For Honor is currently available for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. The Prince of Persia event is currently available across all platforms and will run through April 2nd.  A second chapter is set to begin on March 14th and will see further changes arrive at the Harbor map. On top of a new nighttime setting, the next event is confirmed to feature the Dark Prince, a sinister version of the character corrupted by the Sands of Time. At the moment, little information is available for Chapter 2, so there’s no telling how the changes will affect the game for players.

That being said, the For Honor crossover will give players many new extras while the Blades of Persia event is live. In addition to the new limited-time mode, a total of 26 new weapons will be available to earn from drops, with a free Event Pass adding 30 tiers of gear and loot including “a new battle outfit, emblem outline, ornaments, and a Sand Mood effect.” In addition, several more pieces of content will be on the in-game shop, with two new series-inspired outfits (Ratash and Sandwraith) available alongside the execution used by the Prince and Dark Prince in the game.
