New Dragon Age 4 Character Concept Art Revealed

Dragon Age 4

Having been in varying stages of development over the past few years, BioWare’s long-awaited Dragon Age 4 appears to be closer than ever as of late. The most recent celebration of Dragon Age Day saw new story elements introduced to the high-fantasy saga, with even more teased to come with the recent trailer debut at last month’s The Game Awards. Though nothing too revealing has been divulged as of yet, it appears BioWare intends to keep the teases coming with the reveal of a new piece of concept art.

Revealed over social media, BioWare’s recently appointed executive producer on Dragon Age 4 Christian Dailey posted a new piece of artwork for the upcoming project. Wishing fans a safe new year with “new beginnings,” Dailey showed off a look at a mysterious magic-wielding archer character, with former series producer Mark Darrah also sharing the post in his typically cheeky fashion. Game Informer speculates the character could possibly be a protagonist, but the outlet also mentions that it’s still way too early to know for sure.

As of now, Dragon Age 4 isn’t the only project BioWare is keeping close to the vest, with the studio notably pursuing efforts based on the Mass Effect series. An original trilogy remaster dubbed the Legendary Edition is currently slated to release sometime in 2021 touting enhanced visuals and modernized gameplay. An all-new Mass Effect game is also in the works, touting looming ties to the first three games as well as the return of series’ veterans working on the project. Of course, there’s also a full-scale revamp of Anthem on the way, and while the update a long way’s off, a few notable tidbits have been shared about its development in the meantime.
