Shadow Of The Colossus Dev Teases New 2021 Game

Shadow of the Colossus Dev

A new year in the gaming industry has begun and gamers are excited to see what new titles are coming in 2021. One such game that fans have been wanting to hear about is the new game in development by the Shadow of the Colossus dev Fumito Ueda. The favorite creative behind such hits as The Last Guardian and Ico under Team Ico ventured out on his own independent studio genDesign. Little information has been given about the new game since its announcement in 2018, but now, Ueda has provided a new sneak peek of the project.

Shadow of the Colossus Dev

Famed Shadow of the Colossus dev Fumito Ueda recently shared a new piece of artwork on the official genDesign website. The artwork shows artwork from four of Ueda’s famous video games, with each of the four pictures shaped to form the numbers of the new year, 2021. Of the games included are Ico, Shadow of the Colossus, The Last Guardian, and one previously unseen image from an unknown game. It would appear that this bit of artwork is from the upcoming genDesign game.

The new game art piece from the Shadow of the Colossus dev is very slender and reveals only the smallest bit about the game. All that is seen from a distance is a caped figure putting their hand on a large stone in what appears to be a watery shore. The only other tidbit about the unnamed game recently revealed is that the new game has an unnamed publisher attached to it, according to a new tweet from genDesign. Hopefully, the game does indeed arrive this year, so the world can get lost in Ueda’s wonder. After the year we’ve had, it’s certainly felt like facing 16 Colossi all at once.
