Dragon Age Cinematic Trailer Revealed At TGA 2020 (VIDEO)

After what feels like an eternity, BioWare has finally released a new trailer for Dragon Age 4. It only took the Game Awards 2020 to make it happen! Roughly halfway into the presentation, Geoff Keighley cut away to none other than our beloved Varric monologuing his way through the cinematic trailer for the upcoming game.

The newly revealed Dragon Age 4 trailer comes with a few surprising revelations. As noted by our boy Varric, the game will seemingly feature a new protagonist, one with “no magic hand, no ancient prophecy, the kind of person that no one will see coming.” This could mean a number of things, though it at the very least seems indicative that the protagonist from Dragon Age: Inquisitor is being benched for a new hero. Check out the trailer below:

The excitement by no means stops with the confirmation of a new protagonist. As we’ve all come to expect, Varric confirms for us yet again that our beloved Dread Wolf is back and ready to present some stiff opposition to our new hero. Speaking of our new hero, the majority of the trailer shows off a protagonist that’s notably rogue-like in nature, sporting a dagger and a bow that appears to be powered with Fade Rift energy, which could be an interesting twist. Here’s hoping we’ll learn more about the upcoming title by, say, the end of next year? We can certainly hope.

Dragon Age 4 is currently in development.
