Dragon Age 4 Reveal Teased For The Game Awards

With The Game Awards preparing to take place in only a few days’ time, hype is certainly mounting for the industry-wide celebration, with a lineup of promising nominees and particularly star-studded presenters set to appear at the event. Of course, the proceedings are also teased to house plenty of “world premiere” announcements and it appears BioWare’s upcoming Dragon Age 4 will be among the high-profile festivities.

The big reveal was confirmed in a new social media post from Geoff Keighley, with the event producer and host teasing the arrival of something at the approaching ceremony. While little was divulged regarding how substantial the announcement might be, it will nonetheless mark one of the few peeks offered at Dragon Age 4 thus far, which has only amounted to an initial teaser from TGA 2018, occasional developer tidbits, and assorted pieces of concept art.

More Dragon Age 4 news is undeniably exciting, but fans understandably may not be as hyped as they once were due to the recent roller coaster of emotions happening behind the scenes. It was a little over a day ago when BioWare announced a major shift in personnel, with Dragon Age series producer Mark Darrah and general manager Casey Hudson both set to depart the RPG-centric studio after being integral to the DA games for the past several years.

All these developments closely coincided with the recent occasion of Dragon Age Day, with this year’s occasion seeing the debut of several in-universe short stories written by BioWare staff. Featuring tales such as a Grey Warden’s thrilling standoff and a particularly telling game of cards, the four assorted stories aren’t the heaviest of reads, but they could offer a peek at what Dragon Age 4 eventually entails when it inevitably sees the light of day.
