It’s the month of March and fans of the Mass Effect franchise knows what that means! Andromeda is almost here and with the approaching launch date comes a wave of new videos from the team over at BioWare to show us exactly why we should be excited. The first two in their gameplay series showcased weaponry and companion combat styles. Now, the third installment highlights exploration and discovery – two factors of gameplay that are infamous in BioWare games and Andromeda is no different.  Take a look at the Andromeda gaemplay video below and see for yourself:

Planets, clusters, moons – there are hundreds of discoverable areas to find with their own stories and problems. The area that the latest gameplay video brings us to first is Elaadan, and it is a planet that is inhabited by the Krogan and even they “aren’t happy” with the living conditions. Harsh enviromentals and danger at every corner, seems like a perfect place for the Ryder siblings to take a walk.

Fast travel will also play a huge key in exploration and fans of Dragon Age Inquisition will find the set up extremely familiar. This mode of travel is preferred on planets that have high risk factors like harsh environments and lack of hospitality. The video also highlights how in-game decisions severely impact how effective exploration can be. Your relationship with the planet’s inhabitants will impact where and how you blaze your trail throughout Andromeda.

Active volcanoes, harsh landscapes, and highly militarized colonies are just a few of the grand locations that your Pathfinder will discover. So what are your thoughts on the video?
