Mortal Kombat 11 Highlights Jade's Savage New Fatalities (VIDEO)

As part of NetherRealm Studios’ latest Kombat Kast livestream, yet another new character was revealed for the upcoming game Mortal Kombat 11, developers officially bringing back the staff-swinging fan-favorite, Jade. Though it’s undeniably awesome to see the green warrior tear through enemies once more, her return from the depths of death has proven to come alongside a number of changes.

There’s obvious augments to her appearance, but her newly-Revenant status also grants plentiful upgrades to her abilities, namely a set of gruesome new fatalities. NetherRealm’s recent showcase revealed the first look at Jade and her gory array of moves undoubtedly hold up nicely against the over-the top likes of other roster members.

Seen above, Jade can be seen trading blows with Sub Zero, she decisively gaining the upper hand after activating her flesh-slicing Fatal Blow. Of course, the most devastating move comes in the form of her end-match Fatality. In the video below, Jade can be seen introducing her staff to Baraka‘s face and subsequently dividing her foe in two. As a hilariously gory hat trick, the masked assassin goes even further by spinning her foe around in a literal stomach-churning display.

Jade’s glorious return in Mortal Kombat 11 would appear to be difficult to top, but the weeks ahead nonetheless promise the reveal of some all new characters, one of which being teased as a super surprise addition. Who could it be? If recent leaks are to be believed, we may know a number of these potential kombatants already, but it may be impossible to know for sure with NetherRealm’s Ed Boon on the social media prowl.

Mortal Kombat 11 hits Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. A beta session is scheduled to go live sometime next month.
