Fortnite Developer Update Talks Jetpacks, Llamas, And More Content Coming Soon (VIDEO)

In the latest Fortnite developer update, Epic Games’ systems designer, Eric Williamson, provides players the low-down on more content coming soon and that includes the future of the long-awaited jetpack. There will also be llamas. Additionally, the video grants insight on the brand spanking new limited time mode called Teams of 20, which is a compromise between squads and the 50 versus 50 mode from the game’s past.

Despite the name, it still means dropping 100 players in one area and inviting absolute mayhem – game on. The new LTM includes changes that make Battle Royale more fast-paced; that means circle and storm sizes that are faster. For better co-operative communication, teammates can ping locations on the map for other members to see and much more. For a good overview on the changes heading to the game, check out the Fortnite developer update below:

As for the introduction of llamas, the update coming next week means these adorable fellas will be randomly placed around the island and serve as treasure chests and ammo cans. Other than that, plenty of minor changes will be made to the overall gameplay experience. For example, the team will be completely doing away with smoke grenades and possibly tweaking them until they’re more practical and functional on the field.

For now, the jetpack will be further delayed. So to compensate for that, additional content such as the ones mentioned above will be introduced in the mean time. For the complete run-down of the additions and changes being made to Fortnite, make sure to check out Epic Games’ official website. Are you excited to see what jetpacks can do?
