WATCH: Monster Hunter World TV Spot Teases Dynamic Storyline Before January Release

As its January release date nears and the 2017 year ends, Capcom’s latest title is ready to set sail. A brand new Monster Hunter World TV spot released in Japan by Capcom teases a short clip of the main storyline, full of danger and new experiences. The journey to becoming the ultimate monster hunting will be no easy feat. As the main character journeys through the diverse world of creatures, terrain, and ecosystems, the challenge of defeating an elder dragon threatens to put that all to a stop.

Despite the variety of weapons at your disposal, and the help of feline companions called Palicoes, foes such as Nergigante will test wit, skill, and ingenuity. There are different ecosystems to explore in the process with the lush and green Ancient Forest, the noxious Rotten Vale, or the breathtaking sea of pink seen in the Coral Highlands. As seen in the Monster Hunter World TV spot below, there will be interesting characters to meet along the way as well.

Though the commercial is only 30 seconds long, the commercial does a thorough job at showing vital pieces of the campaign that leaves fans and gamers wanting more. Safe to say, the gameplay in Monster Hunter World will be challenging and a much-needed change of pace from the handheld releases in the franchise’s history.

Monster Hunter World is set for a global release on January 28th, 2018 for PS4 and Xbox One. A PC version is expected at a later date, but no official word on that yet.
