Monster Hunter World Finally Receives PC Release Date (VIDEO)

The beginning of 2018 marked the global debut for Monster Hunter World on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Though a PC release was planned since day one, Capcom revealed the port would take longer than anticipated and a simultaneous release wouldn’t be possible for all three major platforms. In fact, the studio relayed that its release would be delayed until further into the year. Without a window of when to expect it, Capcom surprised us all with a store page and even a release date (finally)!

Heading to PC via Steam, Monster Hunter World will arrive on August 9th, 2018 – that’s just as the Summer season ends and Fall starts to weasel its way back in. As with the PS4 and Xbox One version, there are pre-order bonuses and a digital deluxe edition available identical to the previously mentioned console versions.

In addition to the Origin Set, a “nostalgic must-have for series fans,” the pre-order grants players a Fair Wind Charm that increases one’s attack power and adds a chance of damage reduction. The digital deluxe comes with a Samurai Set complete with a full suit of armor, three different gestures, two sticker sets, face paint, and a topknot hair style to tie it altogether. Simultaneously slay the hairstyle game AND slay gargantuan creatures in Monster Hunter World.

The official Steam store page doesn’t offer exclusive details on its release as it is identical to the console editions. It does offer the same hack, slash, dodge and tactical fun! Are you excited for MHW to finally receive a release date for PC? I’m personally a computer main with a PS4 as my side babe, so it feels good to see it heading this way so soon. Let us know what you think in the comments section below or start a conversation on DFTG Facebook page.
