Ryan Reynolds Confirms Deadpool 3 In The Works At Marvel Studios (VIDEO)

Deadpool 3 Ryan Reynolds

The past decade has been an interesting period of growth for The Walt Disney Company. The company started a string of significant acquisitions with the Marvel in 2009 and Lucasfilm just a few years later. The biggest and most recent acquisition came with 20th Century Fox joining the Disney fold officially this year. However, this particular addition left many worried about the future of the Fox Marvel films–namely, the Deadpool series which stars Ryan Reynolds as the titular Merc’ with a mouth. Well, it seems that these fears can be rested, as Ryan Reynolds has confirmed that he is working on Deadpool 3 under Marvel Studios.

As reported by DR Movie News on Twitter, Ryan Reynolds recently appeared on the Live with Kelly and Ryan talk show to promote his new Netflix film, 6 Underground. Naturally, the actor’s popular role of Deadpool came up, with the hosts asking whether another film starring the red anti-hero could be in the works. Surely enough, Reynolds responded with a confirmation that not only is Reynolds working on Deadpool 3 with many of the original creatives from the first two films, but that it is being produced under the umbrella of Marvel Studios.

Reynolds didn’t provide any other details, leaving the third film’s possible MPAA rating or placement in the Marvel Cinematic Universe film unknown at this point. Still, for many hoping to see Reynolds hold the dual katanas with his red-and-black gloves once more, it looks like Deadpool will indeed be regenerating back to life.
