Learn to Survive a Medieval Lifestyle – See the First 5 Hours of Gameplay for the MMO Life is Feudal (VIDEO)

Medieval Lifestyle

Back in 2014, BitBox began alpha testing for a PC title they called Life is Feudal. They had high ambitions for the title hoping to incorporate things like land ownership, bartering/trade, diplomacy, and of course – PvP warfare. Unfortunately, they discovered that the small team at the time was unable to afford heading in the direction of a game on that scale, and so, Life is Feudal: Your Own was created. This was a scaled down version of what they hoped to accomplish with the multiplayer idea. It allowed players to experience a taste of a medieval lifestyle with many of the mechanics and various systems they had hoped to use later.

Thankfully, production for an MMO experience didn’t stop and is still currently in development. At this time, the medieval survival MMORPG is in beta and will feature a sandbox world for players to live and build. A new trailer for the game showcases the first five hours and what you’ll need to do in order to survive them:

The first “hour” of the video gives players a look at the controls for characters. The soothing sound of the narrator makes the trailer seem like more of a cheesy infomercial from back in the day than a game trailer. From there, the narrator moves on to the next four hours from crafting for the player’s food and water, to building tools and weapons. Of course playing by yourself can get lonely and the narrator introduces the MMO aspect of the game which shows off gathering friends along your quest to live a medieval lifestyle. From there, players can build a homestead, though this may attract unwanted guests and will need to be defended from enemy characters.

Medieval Lifestyle Feudal

In time, each small home can turn into entire communities with each player taking on differing roles such as farming, pillaging, woodcutting, and more. This in turn can allow any player to become really anything they want; a warrior living for the fight, perhaps a criminal pillaging and plundering their way through the land, maybe even a King forcing everyone to follow your rule with a firm hand. Write history, crush your enemies, take riches, and leave no doubts.

Life is Feudal: MMO seems to be shaping up to be quite the interesting game. Many middle-age titles are more focused on combat. This medieval lifestyle game may bring a fresh breath of air into the genre. Are you ready to enter into a feudal life?
