The Sims 4 has been a huge success, but one thing that players have been missing in their short Sim lives are their very own fur babies. Well, on November 10th this year, fans can create their own pets with way more options than ever before in the new Sims 4 pets expansion, Cats and Dogs.

Players can create their four-legged companions alongside their families with the Create a Pet tool! Want to recreate your real life furry child? Want to make a dog or cat that is more like something from out of this world? You can do that! There are even clothing options and, wait for it… they have their own PERSONALITY TRAITS! Say whaaaat? That is a first in the Sim world where before you would have to go adopt a dog or cat and pretty much only got to choose a name for them. Something that is not necessarily new, but definitely improved, is the ability to train and play with the cats and dogs using the new Sims 4 pets expansion. What is new, though, is the addition of a Vet clinic where Sims can work as a Vet and eventually get control over the clinic and staff. The pets expansion’s new location is called Brindleton Bay and there you can socialize with other owners, their furbabies, and even find strays wandering the streets looking for love.

The Sims 4 “Cats and Dogs” expansion arrives only a week before the console release of the base game, but will only be available for PC and Mac at this time.
