Magic The Gathering MMO Announced By Perfect World (VIDEO)
Perfect World and Cryptic Games team up once again to bring another Wizards of the Coast game to life in the MMO world. After a relatively successful stint with Neverwinter, the two announced a new massive-multiplayer online game within the Magic the Gathering universe with a beautiful cinematic trailer. It’s a beautifully directed video to portray the endless possibilities Perfect World and Cryptic Games has to offer for a Magic the Gathering MMO, but it doesn’t show much in terms of gameplay or story design. With that said, it’s likely still under heavy development stages and bigger reveals are likely to follow in 2020. This is allArc Games has to say so far:
In Magic: Legends, become immersed in the acclaimed fictional Magic multiverse as a powerful, spell-wielding Planeswalker. Over the last 25 years, Wizards of the Coast’s strategic card game has transformed into a global phenomenon, with over 20 million players across 70 countries. More official details and game features for Magic: Legends will be revealed in January 2020.

At this year’s The Game Awards festivities, there were a handful of exciting announcements including a brand new Dark Alliance, The Wolf Among Us 2, and a sequel to Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice. This year’s celebration was also the first time the committee introduced a new category for Best Community Support, which went to Destiny 2’s stellar team behind the symbiotic relationship between players and developers. Pretty neat!
