The Wolf Among Us Season 2 Officially Re-Announced (VIDEO)

For years, another season for adventure series The Wolf Among Us had been assured from Telltale Games, but the fan-favorite project became a near-impossibility following the developer’s dramatic behind-the-scenes woes. If the second season’s formal cancellation didn’t paint the picture, the studio’s subsequent shutdown seemed like more than enough to seal the project’s unfinished fate for good. However, in the wake of Telltale’s recent revival, it looks like the fantasy adventure is finally getting a long-awaited follow-up with a new announcement for The Wolf Among Us season 2.

Announced during The Game Awards 2019, the re-reveal was marked with a short trailer depicting a shadowy exchange between character Show White and main protagonist Bigby Wolf. Snow can be heard pleading with Bigby to return to his big bad ways for an unknown new adventure. “Bigby, can I count on you,” she asks. “Always,” the brooding Big Bad Wolf responded. Check out the reveal trailer below.

As per VentureBeat, Telltale Games’ follow-up season for The Wolf Among Us is being developed in a partnership with AdHoc Studio, a development team comprised of numerous former Telltale staff. “The Wolf Among Us is one of the most beloved titles in the Telltale catalog, so we are thrilled to announce that development on Wolf 2 has again started and assure all of the series’ fans that it is in good hands,” LCG Entertainment/Telltale CEO, Jamie Ottilie said in a statement. “Partnering with AdHoc Studio enables us to work with many of the key creative and development talent from the original Wolf series while strategically growing the new Telltale.”

Voice actors Adam Harrington and Erin Yvette are already slated to return as Bigby Wolf and Snow White alongside series composer Jared Emerson-Johnson. Several other members from the original Wolf Among Us team are also set to rejoin for the sequel, including directors Nick Herman, Dennis Lenart, and writer Pierre Shorette–who now acts as chief creative officer for AdHoc Studio.“When the opportunity came up, it was an easy decision for us,” Shorette revealed. “Developing The Wolf Among Us was my first project at Telltale and the start of a creative partnership with Nick and Dennis, so obviously we’re excited to further explore the Fables universe.”
