Mortal Kombat 11 Joker DLC Teaser Revealed (VIDEO)

Mortal Kombat 11 is quite a few months removed from its initial release and developer NetherRealm Studios still has content coming out on the regular. While several have seen their debut already, more fighters remain as part of the game’s add-on Kombat Pack, the next set to be a guest character in the form of DC’s comic-book criminal clown, The Joker.

While we wait for the character’s release date, The Game Awards 2019 has teased the first footage for the make-upped madman, depicting him in a small trash-talk exchange with series fighter Cassie Cage. The MK character sporting her previously-revealed Harley Quinn attire, the two opponents proceed to comment on each other’s appearance, with Joker gleefully reacting to her familiar look and Cage referring to the clown as “creepy as f**k.” Check it out in the video below.

Considering his menacing presence in the comics, Joker would seem to be a great fit among Mortal Kombat’s violent alumni, placing the character in a much more brutal element than his previous appearance in NetherRealm’s Injustice 2. This opens up so many new possibilities as we could perhaps see iconic tricks pulled from the comics such as poisonous Joker gas, chattering teeth bombs, and his infamous acid-spewing lapel flower. There’s surely some creative potential to be had with the addition of Joker and if the game’s other characters are any indication, these possibilities will more than likely be realized.

Mortal Kombat 11 is out now for Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Joker arrives on the Kombat Pack January 28th and as a standalone DLC on February 4th.
