Lord Have “Mercy” – This Overwatch Cosplay is Proof that Heroes Never Die! (Video)

If you thought you saw all of the best Overwatch cosplay when we covered BlizzCon 2016, think again. Overwatch has a very passionate fan base with new cosplays based off the game’s memorable characters being created everyday. Today we introduce a truly heavenly Mercy cosplay from Polish cosplayer Shappi Workshop. Shappi’s detailed costume even earned her an invitation to Blizzard’s Polish Overwatch Allstars party. You can check out her costume in action via the short clip below:

Shappi has been creating cosplays since 2009 and works with companies as a costume creator working on and producing various costumes and stylisations. Her specialty is in armor and prop making. She also hosts and organizes cosplay competitions. For the costumes armor and wings Shappi used a mix of plastic, eva foam, and some worbla; all that combined with her attention to detail, from her makeup to her wig along with her other props came together for this outstanding Mercy cosplay. The video which we assume you’ve viewed already was shot by Lewandowsky Photography and the photos which you can check out in the gallery below were all taken and edited by Studio Zahora.

We here at DFTG love seeing and sharing with you all the spectacular cosplay we come across from various different fandoms and artists from around the globe. Every cosplay is a labor of love in a sense and shows just how much of an impact and connection these characters make with fans. With the introduction of Overwatch’s newest persona Sombra, we’re looking forward to seeing a whole lot more cosplay from the universe.

What do you think of Shappi’s take on Mercy and are there any other Overwatch inspired cosplays you’d like to see featured?
