Halo Infinite Won’t Have Forge Or Co-op Campaign At Launch (VIDEO)

Halo Infinite

Halo Infinite has drawn a considerable amount of excitement from fans. That said, there are a few series staples that will be missing, a saddening prospect for longtime players of the franchise. It was recently revealed that assassinations would not be a part of the game at launch, with the developer citing that it is turned off by players on “a lot of levels” due to a gameplay disadvantage for those unable to perform the feat. Now it looks as though fans also won’t be able to partake in the co-op campaign or the iconic Forge mode at launch.

A development update for Halo Infinite was recently released that discussed feedback concerning the multiplayer tech demo that occurred this month, while also offering some news about the upcoming launch later this year. Unfortunately, it seems the co-op campaign and the Forge mode won’t be available immediately at launch. The co-op campaign is now set to arrive during season 2 after Halo Infinite launches, while the Forge mode will appear during season 3.

While there are no specific dates mentioned, the developers do plan on having each season run about 3 months each, indicating that fans will have to wait until at least next year before seeing anything related to the two features. At the very least the developers do have plans for them, though having to wait for them at all is certainly off-putting for those that prefer to run the campaign in co-op.

Halo Infinite is set to release later this year, though no release date has been revealed as of yet. The title will be available for PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
