Halo 3: ODST Arrives On Master Chief Collection This Month (VIDEO)

Halo 3: ODST

Halo 3: ODST wasn’t exactly a revolutionary title but it did draw a ton of fans for its ability to tell a darker, more gritty tale within the Halo universe. The atmosphere, the sounds, and even the use of game mechanics made the title feel desolate and downright terrifying at times. As players weren’t a superhuman Spartan, engagements could be avoided and players needed to think like a regular human soldier to avoid dying in battle. The more grounded approach made for a refreshing take on the series and soon, fans will be able to witness the title in its entirety once more with its arrival into Halo: The Master Chief Collection for PC.

The developers at 343 Industries have been pushing out title after title in the compilation, including entries that aren’t a part of the core series such as Halo 3: ODST and Halo Reach – both well-loved by fans for their change of pace from the core series. Halo 3: ODST is next up on the list of titles set to release to the Master Chief Collection and now fans have an official date to prepare for. A recent Tweet has stated that Halo 3: ODST will be arriving just next week on September 22nd.

In addition to the game’s long-awaited release for Master Chief Collection, Halo 3: ODST has also been confirmed to be released for the Xbox Game Pass for PC on the same day. Those with a membership will be able to freely play the game from their PCs, but Game Pass Ultimate subscribers will have the added option to play on an Android mobile device with the xCloud game-streaming service –which officially entered beta as of today.

Halo: The Master Chief Collection is currently available for PC and Xbox One. Once ODST launches for PC, all that will be left for the collection is Halo 4. Are you ready to return to New Mombasa?
