Godzilla: Singular Point Anime Series Announced For Netflix
Godzilla has seen numerous releases of over the years, with some of the most recent including multiple anime movies on Netflix. The “Planet of the Monsters” trilogy features a futuristic setting where Godzilla has forced humanity into outer space for 20,000 years and follows a character fueled by revenge against the Kaiju. Following the story’s conclusion in 2019, a new series called Godzilla: Singular Point has now been announced and will aim to tell a brand new original story with an all-new cast of characters.
Atsushi Takahashi is set to direct the upcoming Godzilla anime for Netflix with a creative team consisting of composer Kan Sawada, writer and editor Toh EnJoe, animation from Eiji Yamamori, and art by Kazue Kato. The project will be produced by Bones, the studio behind the amazing My Hero Academia series in partnership with Orange. Unfortunately, there aren’t any story details quite yet, but Godzilla: Singular Point is confirmed to feature a completely new story and will combine hand-drawn art with CG animation styles to help tell whatever the writers have planned.
Godzilla: Singular Point is set to release sometime next year though no official release date has been announced quite yet.
