Genshin Impact Outfit Teaser Showcases Jean And Barbara's New Threads (VIDEO)

Genshin Impact Version 1.6 is nearly here, offering fans of the popular gacha game a much-needed vacation from all that grinding to enjoy some fun in the sun and, well, even more grinding. We knew what we signed up for. While visitors of the limited-time Midsummer Islands area will have plenty of content to keep themselves occupied with, miHoYo has in the meantime released a helpful reminder that one of the most highly requested features will also be shipping in Version 1.6: alternate outfits.

Genshin Impact developer mihoYo took to YouTube today to release a special teaser trailer for Jean and Barbara’s new summer outfits. Titled Beachside Ballad, the trailer offers a look at the idle animations of our beloved ‘idol’ Barbara and the Captain of the Favonius Knights, Jean, both of whom are sporting their light and breezy new outfits. Check out the trailer below:

As we’ve previously mentioned, Barbara’s Summertime Sparkle outfit is obtainable as an event reward for the limited-time Echoing Tales event, which tasks players with collecting conches that can be found throughout the Midsummer Islands. Given that Jean is a max rarity character her Sea Breeze Dandelion outfit naturally costs real money, though the limited-time launch sale drops the going price from 1680 Genesis Crystals to 1350 Genesis Crystals. All in all the cost isn’t too bad given the quality of the outfits, and miHoYo will likely put more time and effort into creating more outfits for the other characters as long as there’s enough positive feedback.

Genshin Impact players will be able to snag the two outfits for themselves when Version 1.6 releases on June 9, 2021. The game is currently available for PC, PS4, PS5, and Android & iOS devices.
