Fortnite Celebrates 2019 With Groovy Disco Fireworks (VIDEO)
New Year’s Day is currently being rung for much of the world, and Fortnite (as always) has a large and festive event planned to celebrate the proceedings. The ball is dropping across the globe and those who find themselves logged into Epic Games’ battle royale game at the stroke of midnight have been experiencing quite the party for the first moments of 2019.
Seen in the video below, a wild and colorful fireworks display has been lighting up the sky of Fortnite, introducing the new year with a mix of bright lights and groovy tunes. The commotion emanates from a large disco ball in the sky, no doubt cameoing from earlier this year’s Disco Domination LTM. The lively celebration is one so infectious that it causes players to start dancing regardless of what they’re doing. Check it out below.

Fortnite grooving in the new year is only the latest event to have filled fans with glee, this past week covering the game’s map in a winter wonderland as well as the introduction of oodles of cool new skins. One of these festive cosmetics has caused a blizzard of conversation on social media, with many thinking the character looks suspiciously like Elsa from Disney’s Frozen.
Fortnite is out now for Android, iOS, Nintendo Switch, Mac, PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
