When Season 7 of Fortnite Battle Royale began, players were treated to an entirely new corner of the map that was covered in snow. Now that fans have been treated to the likes of planes, ziplines, and one insanely overpowered sword, Epic Games has introduced something without making a single announcement about it.

Christmas has arrived, and the developer apparently thought there was no better way to celebrate than to cover the entire Fortnite map in white powdery goodness. When players logged on this morning, they were met with a map that was completely covered in snow. Some people even experienced something interesting, with one match being pre-snowed on, and then queueing into the next lobby, only to be met with snow everywhere.

That said, this was no glitch. Epic Games was in fact dreaming of a white Christmas.

Epic Games seemingly hasn’t said a word about covering the entire map in snow, but we’re sure they are all enjoying the festivities as much as players.
