New Fallout 4 Mod Takes Players Across The Pond To London (VIDEO)
When fans think of Fallout they normally think of the United States, whether it’s the wastelands of the New Mojave or the city streets of places like Washington D.C and the Commonwealth. Much of the current lore surrounding the Fallout universe has been centered around America, after all, though other countries do get mentioned from time to time. A new mod called Fallout: London is aiming to change that, taking Fallout 4 players across the pond for some intriguing new gameplay.
A new trailer for the upcoming Fallout: London mod begins with an iconic British song by Vera Lynn called “We’ll Meet Again” that plays while viewers are shown some of the sights in London. Following an explosion – this is Fallout, after all – viewers are treated to an expertly done narration explaining the stae of things. Basically, things aren’t much better than the situation over in the Western Hemisphere. Check out the trailer below:
As the trailer progresses it shows off a variety of iconic London locations from the iconic Big Ben clocktower to Buckingham Palace, all filled with different factions for players to go up against. These include a group that imitates the legendary Knights Templar, swinging around medieval weaponry in full sets of armor. Vault-Tec is a distinctly United States company, and it will not have a presence in the Fallout: London story. Of course, there will be British counterparts to content players are familiar with such as a British version of a Vault Boy, an underground bunker that some civilians managed to escape to, and more. The FEV or Forced Evolutionary Virus apparently never made it quite to Great Britain, meaning that creatures like Super Mutants, Centaurs, Deathclaws, and others won’t be present. That said, there will likely be some sort of counterpart to fill their place.
The mod doesn’t quite have a release date yet but it will be set in 2237 London and the mod map will take up about the same size as the vanilla Fallout 4 Commonwealth.
