Elon Musk Fortnite Tweet Trolls Fans Through Meme

Elon Musk Fortnite

It is hard for anyone tapped into popular culture right now to not have been made familiar with the gaming craze that is Fortnite. The massively successful game has been a hit among kids and older fans, and has been a regular topic in news outlets. Fortnite has been seen played by the likes of Drake and Ellen DeGeneres, and has been referenced on shows like South Park and Saturday Night Live. Now, Fortnite has been acknowledged by the world’s favorite eccentric tech-genius billionaire, but in a way not terribly flattering to the game’s fans. A new Elon Musk Fortnite tweet seems to intend to troll fans of the title in the classic Internet way…through memes.

Elon Musk recently tweeted the trollish photo to his official Twitter account. The photo is done in the style of an Internet article header that reads “Elon Musk buys Fortnite and deletes It,” with the caption as a quote from Musk saying, “I had to save these kids from eternal virginity.” Given that the article does not seem to be real, and that it mentions “buying” Fortnite, despite the game being a free download, this post certainly appears to have the intention of trolling.

Not content to take this lying down, the official Fortnite Twitter account fired back with a burn of their own. Including an article in which Musk stated that it would be at least a decade for his Mars base to be built, Fortnite asks Musk why he doesn’t construct the project as fast as players make forts in Fortnite. To this, Musk simply replied “reality is hard.” We definitely live in interesting times where the world’s most notorious and outspoken billionaire can engage in a Twitter beef with an electronic Hunger Games simulation.

I guess it’s only a matter of time before Musk builds his own real life Fortnite island. What do do you guys think about this Elon Musk Fortnite tweet? Let us know in the comments below!
