Diablo IV Sorceress Enchantment System Detailed

Diablo IV Is Fully Online-Only, Even For Console Players

Fans are counting down the days until hands can be placed on Diablo IV, and since we don’t know exactly when that will be, we just have to rely on developer updates. Luckily, the devs at Blizzard recently shared more information about the upcoming title, including the Sorceress Enchantment System that will be in place.

In the recent quarterly development update, the devs outlined a few aspects about Diablo IV. One notable thing they touched on was the Sorceress Enchantment System. In a previous update, they offered up details about the Barbarian’s Arsenal System, but it’s now it’s time for the Sorceress to shine. According to the devs, Sorceress skills will be able to placed into two separate locations, one being the active skill slot and the other being the Enchantment slot.

Sorceress skills can be placed into two locations: an active skill slot (that every other class also has access to), and an Enchantment slot. If you place a skill in the Enchantment slot, you can no longer use it as an active skill, but your character instead gains a secondary bonus power.”

The power gained from Enchantments won’t be anything to laugh at either as it is “extremely significant.” In addition to this, Diablo IV players will be able to make builds based on Enchantments, active skills, or both. “We’ve been testing this class mechanic for a while now, and the team feedback has been really positive,” the update says. “This new system now empowers you to make some interesting choices to strategize around which skills you would want to slot in as an Enchantment, as you won’t be able to put one skill in both places.”

Diablo IV is currently in development with an unknown release date. Keep it tuned to Don’t Feed the Gamers as this story develops, and for other gaming goodness going on right now, check out the following:
