Destiny 2 is no stranger to plot twists and the most recent one within the Forsaken expansion is quite a doozy. A recent leak revealed a cutscene that presented a major turning point for the franchise, and now that scene is released to the public and holds an Easter egg featuring one of the most beloved characters of the franchise.

At the end of the Forsaken expansion, justice was served and Uldren Sov was killed for the murder of Cayde-6. This was seemingly the end of both characters until the recent cutscene revealed that Uldren is once more alive and well thanks to be revived by a Ghost and becoming a Guardian. Possible ramifications of this plot twist aside, one fan noticed that there was something unusual about the resurrection scene.

The eagle-eyed fan’s recent post on Imgur shows Uldren’s body atop an alter and covered in a white sheet. The shadow created from this takes the shape of Cayde-6’s head, a peculiar reference to be sure. It’s entirely possible that the shadow is merely a tributary nod rather than a hint at something for the future, though it wouldn’t be too far of a stretch to see some grand scheme unfold in the future.

Destiny 2 is available for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. Have you played any of the Black Armory DLC content yet?
