This Week’s Destiny 2 Nightfall Strike Changed In Light Of Unfixed Prestige Glitch

destiny 2 nightfall strike

In light of the still occurring issues with the Destiny 2 Nightfall Strike “Exodus Crash” where a glitch with the latest difficulty level addition made a certain area impossible to progress through. Namely, if Prestige difficulty is active, the final area in this particular Nightfall Strike wouldn’t conjure the blue Arc Pulses players needed to enter in order to continue on. That means no rewards, no loot, and no progress. Easily said, that can be immensely frustrating. Unfortunately, it’s still a recurring problem and there’s no immediate fix announced as of yet, but in order to make sure the weekly event is playable, Bungie Help announced that Exodus Crash will be replaced for the time being:

Additionally, Bungie stated that there will be a server maintenance going on today and will take place between 8AM PDT until noon PDT, totaling at a 4 hour downtime. This may also be in response to the recent issues in Nightfall Strike or the other reported bugs, and the occasional check-up for diagnostics aren’t a bad idea in general.

Furthermore, since the settings for Destiny 2 Nightfall Strike have changed from the Weekly Reset, so have the modifiers and have since been replaced with Torrent where “player abilities recharge faster”, and Timewarp: Zero Hour wherein “the mission timer cannot be extended”. Though it is easy to ask why Bungie didn’t just fix the bug instead of completely changing this week’s event, it can boil down to the amount of other issues and bugs players have encountered that are a bit more pressing.
