Destiny 2’s Prismatic Matrix Update Will Make Eververse Items Easier To Earn
This week at Bungie has certainly been busy, keeping up to their promises of balancing out the game and creating one that players will want to go back to or continue playing. From the reveal of the game’s new “Warmind” digital comic featuring Ana Bray and the Fall 2018 expansion to be shown at E3, the development team announces more progress as they head into season 3. Aside from the plentiful quality-of-life improvements added to Destiny 2, Bungie has revealed a brand new feature called the Prismatic Matrix, which may prove earning Eververse items a much easier feat.
As the community knows, Eververse loot aren’t the easiest things to achieve though a few can be purchased at the store with Bright Dust. With the implementation of the Prismatic Matrix, however, which is intended to give players “more control over how they earn” them, guarantees access to specific items each week, and fewer duplicate drops. Here’s how it works:
At release, the Prismatic Matrix will feature 10 Eververse items from Season 3 each week it is active. Each item within the Prismatic Matrix is on a knockout list, which means every player is guaranteed to receive all featured items for a given week by the tenth activation. Earning items via Bright Engrams, Bright Dust, or previous Matrix activations will also knock rewards off the list. In turn, each activation guarantees players an item that they have never previously acquired.
With your first well-rested level-up each week, you’ll earn a Prismatic Facet, allowing one free use of the Prismatic Matrix. Prismatic Facets stack up to 3, so make sure to have proper inventory space before earning a rank-up on a given week. Players can also purchase more activations for 200 Silver each.”
Aside from the Prismatic Matrix, players can still earn Bright Engrams with each level up and the purchase limit has increased from 14 to 18. All in all, there are more ways to earn Eververse loot. Not too shabby, right? What do you think of this new and upcoming feature heading to Destiny 2? Is the Prismatic Matrix exactly what you need?
