Demon's Souls Remake Has A Mystery Door That's Driving Players Crazy

The Demon’s Souls Remake appears to have come out of the gate strong, garnering some impressive review scores and captivating fans both new to the Souls-like genre and veteran players that have been waiting for a proper remake of the game for the past few years. All this is due to the hard work put in by Bluepoint Games, which, aside from implementing some new features, left the majority of the game’s flow untouched. That said, they did add in a mystery door that’s driving players nuts.

According to the folks over at Kotaku, the Demon’s Souls Remake has a mysterious locked door that has been stumping players since the title’s release alongside the PS5 late last week. Found in level 1-3, the door down an alley and behind an illusory wall that’s also new to the remake. Check it out below:

In regards to getting that darn door open, players have been throwing the usual Souls-like tricks at the wall and seeing what sticks. This includes running to the door immediately upon zoning in, trying to open it at certain times of the day, and approaching it wearing different pieces of armor and weapons. Alas, nothing. A Redditor by the name of Cosmic-Vagabond did some fancy maneuvering with the Photo Mode, though, and managed to get a glimpse of what’s immediately beyond the door.

This is by no means the first time Bluepoint Games has added a secret to one of its remakes. The Shadow of the Colossus Remake that came out back in 2018 included a new type of collectible that, when all 79 pieces were brought to a certain point, opened up a new pathway to an obtainable sword that wasn’t a part of the original game. It only took gamers a few days following the title’s release to locate the sword, so here’s hoping it won’t be much longer before the secret of the Demon’s Souls Remake’s mystery door is uncovered.

Demon’s Souls Remake is now available exclusively for the PS5.
