This Cyberpunk 2077 Car Is The Perfect Blend Of Futuristic Mad Max Tech

Cyberpunk 2077 Mad Max

Despite some delays, Cyberpunk 2077 continues to be one of the most highly anticipated games for 2020. Both developer CD Projekt Red and the fans of Cyberpunk’s futuristic world have been doing much to maintain the hype for the game. Fans have gone to great creative lengths to celebrate the game, through methods like cosplay and fan films. CD Projekt Red has been very calculated about what to reveal about the game and when to reveal such information. Now, to celebrate fellow futuristic franchise Mad Max, CD Projekt Red has unveiled a new Cyberpunk 2077 Mad Max car and desert setting that feel very apocalyptic.

As reported on Prima Games, CD Projekt Red released a new tweet on the official Cyberpunk 2077 Twitter account that celebrates the fifth anniversary of Mad Max: Fury Road. The tweet acknowledges the Academy Award-winning film in the long-running post-apocalyptic franchise, and pays tribute by unveiling a new Cyberpunk 2077 Mad Max-inspired vehicle. The “Reaver” is a car that belongs to the Wraith gang, but feels like it would be very much at home in Immortan Joe’s legion of wasteland-riding automobiles.

Some insightful fans did happen to notice that the video of the car appears to take place in a desert-like portion of the Cyberpunk world. As such, it would seem that this is the first known footage of Cyberpunk 2077 that takes place outside of the predominantly city portions of the game. CD Projekt Red seemed to confirm this with some GIF replies sent to fans that pointed this out. Hopefully we get to see more of this, and other alternate environments in the final game. Encountering these areas after long stretches in the city will definitely help make the experience feel eternal, shiny and chrome.
