Centurion and Ninja Heroes Leaked Ahead of For Honor’s First DLC
Reddit user Bones404 has potentially leaked the identity of two of For Honor’s DLC heroes via stills taken within the game. In the stills, we see both a Roman Centurion soldier and a Ninja warrior. While all leaks should be considered with a grain of salt, the silhouettes and overall build of both heroes matches up with the season pass teaser image you can see below. The silhouettes in question are the two at the very front, flanked by four as-of-yet unannounced heroes.
The Centurion looks like your typical Roman soldier, complete with heavy armor and helmet, along with a face-covering armored mask. Unfortunately, we can’t see his weapon, as the tips of his hands are just below the bottom of the picture. That said, he is a Centurion, so it is likely that he will come equipped with a polearm of some kind, perhaps a Pilum (Javelin) or a Hasta (thrusting spear). Either way, it should give Valkyries, For Honor’s resident spear (and shield) wielders, a run for their money. Though this is still speculation, chances are high that the Centurion will be siding with the Knights faction.
The Ninja, on the other hand, is wearing light armor, in keeping with their historical reputation of preferring to avoid direct confrontation. Depicted below, the Ninja is wearing a traditional ninja mask, along with leather armor. Unlike the Centurion, we can see what the Ninja will be wielding in battle; a kusarigama, or chain sickle. For those not versed in Ninja weaponry, a kusarigama is unique, in that it has a sickle and a weight, connected with a chain that ranges between 1000 and 4000 millimeters in length. While there are many different techniques with which to use kusarigama, the most well-known method involves spinning the chain above the head and attacking with the sickle. Among the three existing factions, Ninja would more than likely side with the Samurai.
One other thing to note is that, in the stills above, the word ‘Scrubmode’ is visible between the names of the two leaked heroes. Normally, that’s where the name of that particular type of hero goes (heavy, counter-attacker, etc), so this is either a simple placeholder, or both heroes have yet to receive an official designation.
So, what are your thoughts on the two leaked heroes? Are you excited for one in particular? Has the hero you’ve been waiting for not been announced yet?
