Call of Duty: Modern Warfare’s Gunfight Game Mode Receiving New Variants
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has had quite the impressive start thus far, though as with any title these days there’s always more that could be done to alter or improve the player’s experience. One of the more popular game modes within the latest first-person shooter is Gunfight, a fight between 2 teams of 2 as they fight against each other with predetermined loadouts over the course of multiple rounds. Soon, appears as though there will be new variants arriving to the game mode bringing a new experience for all players.
Infinity Ward has plenty of plans for the future from new game modes to new weapons and cosmetics. Now it seems that the developer will be adding more variants to the Gunfight game mode as well, thanks to new information provided by co-design director Joe Cecot. According to the developer’s response to a new Tweet, it seems that there will be both a 1v1 and 3v3 variants coming soon. Currently, the maps for the Gunfight game mode might be a little too small for a 3v3 fight, though it’s possible new variants will also bring about the arrival of new maps as well.
At some point, also 1v1!

The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare beta saw a game mode called Gunfight OSP, where players spawned in with no weapons and were forced to loot weapons on the map to effectively engage their enemies, though we’ve yet to see any info on when that mode will go live.
Call of Duty Modern Warfare is currently available for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
